Ten days is enough to see Sri Lanka’s headline regions without rushing. This loop balances heritage, highlands, and coast, with realistic driving distances between stops.
Days 1–3: Cultural triangle
Arrive and transfer to Sigiriya. Climb Lion Rock at dawn, explore the Dambulla cave temples, and settle into the rhythm of the dry zone.
Days 4–5: Kandy
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, wander the lakeside, and stop at a spice or tea garden on the scenic drive south.
Days 6–7: Ella & the hills
Take the famous train through the tea country, walk to Nine Arch Bridge, and slow right down in the cool highlands.
Days 8–10: South coast
Finish on the beaches around Galle and Mirissa — swim, eat fresh seafood, and catch a sunset over the Indian Ocean before your departure transfer.
